    As curriculum is implemented teachers must continue to observe and reflect on what those observations mean. It is important for programs to support the experimental nature of curriculum planning for infants and toddlers. Even plans that do not work out are learning opportunities for both the children and the teachers.

    Teachers must use the information they have gathered about the infants and toddlers to create a rich learning environment for each child and the group as a whole. In doing so, it’s imperative that they trust the children to teach themselves by exploring that environment and one another. This is done through respectful interactions that support curiosity, exploration, and integrations of new knowledge.[1]
