    Teaching is about taking the knowledge of children and child development and putting it into action (Gordon & Browne, 2007). While the word teacher is often synonymous with what occurs in a classroom, a teacher is anyone who is translating this knowledge to foster development- be it in an early childhood program, or not. In this chapter, the developmental domains will be expanded on, from Chapter 3, and transition into a focus on how to support learning and growth in each domain.
