This research guide provides an extensive explanation of the process of selecting and confirming SCOTUS justices. It explains the constitutional foundation and formal procedures of the process while directing you to additional resources for further study.
Follow the complete process description while taking notes on the steps, and study the selection process development. Review either the Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson or Amy Coney Barrett nomination process with its accompanying documents.
