What do the people around you really think about DEI?
1. Design Your Survey
Create 3–5 short, clear, and unbiased questions to measure opinions about DEI. You must include:
-- 1 Likert scale question (e.g., strongly agree to strongly disagree)

-- 1 open-ended question (e.g., What does DEI mean to you?)
Your survey should focus on a pressing DEI centric area such as:
- Workplace diversity programs
- DEI training in education
- DEI and meritocracy
- Representation in media or leadership
2. Collect Data
Survey at least 5–10 people from different backgrounds (family, friends, classmates, or others). Use Google Forms, paper surveys, or casual interviews.
Log the responses and note patterns or surprising answers.
3. Analyze & Reflect
Write a short reflection or record a 2–3 minute video that addresses:
- What did you learn from your respondents?
- Did your results match or differ from national polling data (e.g., Pew, Gallup)?
- What challenges did you face in writing fair, unbiased questions?
- How might the framing of a question influence someone’s response?
- Include at least one national poll on DEI as a comparison point (cite it properly in APA format).
