    1. What is the difference between individual prejudice and systemic oppression, and why does that difference matter when trying to address inequality? Consider how focusing only on individual behavior might limit solutions to larger social problems.

    2. How do stereotypes and implicit bias shape everyday interactions, even when people believe they are being fair or “colorblind”? Can you think of examples from media, school, or work that illustrate this?

    3. Why do you think discrimination can have long-term psychological and physical effects on individuals and communities? How does this help explain ongoing racial and health inequalities?

    4. In what ways do institutions like schools, workplaces, housing, or the criminal justice system contribute to inequality, even without openly discriminatory rules? What role do policies or practices play in producing unequal outcomes?

    5. What does resistance look like today, and how can individuals participate in social change without being part of a large movement? Consider small actions, allyship, or collective efforts discussed in the chapter.
