The “Rest Stop” after this section of the text will direct you how to create or revise your resume. Here are additional action plan steps to pursue:
- Draft a generic cover letter to be ready for revisions based on specific positions for which you’re applying.
- Develop your 30-second commercial and practice in front of friends and family members.
- Activate your College Central Network (CCN) account: go to hacc.edu, Current Students, Career Services, Job/Internship Bulletin Board and follow the instructions.
- Create a list of networking contacts and begin speaking with those people about your planned job search. Remember to think about friends, family members, professors/instructors, fellow classmates and local professional organizations.
