    The cornerstone of an transformative practicum experience is utilizing self-reflection to improve teaching practices. This is accomplished through the pursuit of answering the questions of who you are as an educator and what strengths do you bring to your classroom, as well as, am I being as effective as I would like to be ( (ANDREW J. STREMMEL, 2015). This requires one to engage in a cycle of self-reflection with the goal of evaluating their own practices with a critical eye. Becoming the educator you want to be is an ongoing process (Kolb, 2005).

    In order to answer the question “Am I the ECE educator I want to be?,” one should break the question down into a series of incremental questions (ANDREW J. STREMMEL, 2015; Grossman, 2001).
