    Create language and literacy learning experience plans that promote child development and learning for children.

    CRITERIA: Plan incorporates the WMELS Framework.

    WMELS Framework

    Please see page 2-3 of the Wisconsin Model Early Learning Standards to learn more about the framework.

    Framework for Wisconsin Model Early Learning Standards Document. Shows a flowchart starting with the Developmental Domains, then the sub-domains, then Developmental Expectations which lead to either the Performance Standards or Program Standards. After that, both paths go to Local Decisions and Developmental Continuum before splitting to Sample Behavoirs of Children or Sample Strategies for Adults.

    The WMELS Framework is built in to your lesson plan form for your learning experiences. You will be including:

    1. The Domain

    2. The Sub-Domain

    3. The Performance Standard

    4. The Developmental Continuum

    5. Sample Behaviors of the Children and how they align or relate to your activity.

    You will also be including the Relevant Developmental Domains for your activity as we know children develop in multiple domains at once. See 10.1 Relevant Developmental Domains to review.
