SUBJECT – OER for Computer Information Systems (C-ID ITIS 120)

Lists to send on – BUSINESS, CIS, CIS_IS, COMPUTER SCIENCE (H1 in Word)

Greetings! This message is being sent by the ASCCC Open Educational Resources (OER) Initiative on behalf of a faculty member who is seeking colleagues to collaborate on OER for Computer Information Systems (C-ID ITIS 120). As the OERI requires that funded projects involve collaborators from at least three California Community College districts, we are assisting potential applicants who need collaborators. The need is described as follows:

Proposed Project Title: Introduction to Computer and Information Technologies (H2 in word)

There are very few high quality introduction to computers and information systems OER materials. Either the material is too advanced for an entry level computer information systems class, or it’s too basic for a college level course. We hope to meet that need and are looking for additional faculty authors and reviewers to help us.

If you are interested in this opportunity or have any questions about it, please contact Mark Branom. Please forward this message on to anyone who might be interested.
