This should be completed AFTER completing your social movement poster. You should already know about a social movement, it’s lifecycle, purpose, goals, etc.

Initial posts should be at least 250 words long. Reply to at least two other students’ posts. All discussion posts must be courteous and professional.

STEP 1: Upload your infographic to the discussion.

STEP 2: After learning about the purpose, goals, lifecycle, etc., of the social movement you chose, and uploading your infographic so other students can view it, pick one of the theoretical perspectives covered in this module: (emergent-norm, value-added, or assembling) and use it to analyze your chosen social movement.

STEP 3: Discuss your opinion on the movement and its progress, addressing the role technology might play in the process. Initial posts should be at least 250 words long and include proper APA citations. Reply to at least two other students’ posts. All discussion posts must be courteous and professional.

Excellent	Satisfactory	Needs Improvement
Student answers each part of the question, addressing a current social movement through a theoretical lens, and how technology may affect the movement. Student properly uses APA format, and reply substantively to others (adding more to the conversation than simply, “I agree,” or “Good job,” etc.)	Student might address only one facet of the question, or not fully answer all aspects thereof, but still demonstrates understanding of what (s)he has answered. Length requirement may not have been met. Replies might also be lacking in substance, or the student may not have met the required number of replies. Significant errors in or lack of citations may also apply.	Student shows little understanding of the question or fails to identify a relevant social movement, does not meet length requirement, or lacks substance in original posts and/or replies. Citations may be absent.
