    Introduction

Healthy relationships require ongoing effort, effective communication, emotional awareness, and mutual respect. Whether relationships involve family members, friends, romantic partners, classmates, or coworkers, the skills needed to build trust and resolve conflict can be learned and strengthened over time. This chapter explores practical strategies for maintaining healthy relationships, including developing emotional intelligence, practicing empathy and active listening, communicating across cultures, expressing emotions effectively, and managing interpersonal conflict.
