Dr. Grandin is a well-known professor of animal sciences, but she is best known for being one of the first individuals with ASD to speak out about her experience. She has authored several books and articles about her personal experiences as well as research regarding livestock. In 2010, Dr. Grandin was named one of Time Magazine’s most influential people in the world. She has received numerous awards and honorary degrees, and in February 2017, she was named to the National Women’s Hall of Fame” (University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, 2022).
