    We all expect a good story to begin with an introduction, and then move into the significant events of the story, and ultimately end by wrapping it all up nicely. However, authors take different approaches to conveying the main events in their stories. Sometimes authors tell stories chronologically, going into detail about what happened first, second, and third. Other times authors will detail the main events out of order. In this chapter, we focus on the different ways to organize the main points of a speech. Additionally, we discuss the importance of outlining a speech, along with the different types of outlining required for speeches.
