      Directing an early childhood education program requires prioritizing physical, emotional, and mental well-being in order to effectively support children, families, and staff. Maintaining healthy habits, managing stress, and creating a positive work-life balance help ECE leaders model wellness and sustain strong, supportive learning environments.
    • 13.2: Self-Care Strategies
      Practicing self-care while directing an early childhood education program helps leaders manage stress, maintain energy, and remain emotionally available for staff, children, and families. Setting healthy boundaries, taking time to recharge, and seeking support contribute to stronger leadership and a more positive program environment.
