De acuerdo con los reglamentos de concesión de licencias, los centros de cuidado infantil deben presentar un plan por escrito para casos de catástrofes en el que se defina un plan para mantener a los niños seguros durante una emergencia. El sitio web de la División de Licencias para la Atención Comunitaria ofrece formularios de planificación para una emergencia en caso de una catástrofe que deben completarse como parte de la solicitud de la licencia.
En estos planes, se debe incluir lo siguiente:
- ¿Cómo se evacuará a los niños en caso de una emergencia?
- ¿Adónde se llevará a los niños si no se puede volver al centro de inmediato?
Los centros deben realizar un simulacro en caso de una catástrofe al menos cada seis meses. Las personas adultas y los niños con edad suficiente deben conocer sus obligaciones durante los simulacros y las emergencias. Se debe guardar la documentación de la finalización del simulacro, incluida la fecha. [1]
