This part of the process takes curiosity, online research, and a little self-discipline. But the payoff is big: the more you learn about different careers, the easier it becomes to picture your future and make smart decisions about your next steps.
What You’ll Be Doing
As you explore different careers, pay attention to things like:

Day-to-day tasks – What does someone in this job actually do?

Work environment – Office? Outdoors? Remote? Fast-paced? Collaborative?

Skills required – Technical skills? People skills? Problem-solving?

Job outlook – Is this field growing, stable, or shrinking?

Salary information – What’s the earning range, and how does it change with experience?
Compare everything you learn with the results from Unit 2—your interests, skills, personality, values, and strengths. This is where connections start to form. Ask yourself:
“Where do I see myself fitting in the world of work?”
