    The discipline of sociology examines social life, social change and the social causes and consequences of human behavior. This course is designed to familiarize the student with the scientific understanding of the development of the social self, the structure of groups, organizations and societies, and to enhance her/his ability to investigate these phenomena. It is further designed to promote investigation into how people interact within these contexts and construct reasons for their behavior.
