    1. Think about a teacher, podcast, or online video that taught you something new. What made it effective as an informative speech? 

    2. Which type of informative speech (definition, description, explanation, demonstration) do you think would be the easiest or hardest for you to give in class? Why?

    3. Imagine you’re giving a speech to first year college students. What’s one piece of practical college advice (study hacks, mental health tips, navigating campus) you could turn into a short demonstration speech?

    4. How can you make a “boring” topic (like enrolling for classes, academic source citations, or time management) more engaging for a student audience?

    5. If an employer asked you in a job interview to explain something you know well, what topic would you choose, and how would you make sure you explained it clearly and memorably?
