Informational interviews are, simply put, conversations. Recall some of the activities you may have engaged in during the first day of classes this semester. Your instructors may have asked you to find a partner and ask them questions in order to get to know them and “break the ice”. If you have participated in such activities, you have conducted an informational interview! Giving information and gathering information are the two main goals of this type of interview.
