Culture is defined as the values, attitudes, behaviors, and beliefs that are learned and passed down from one generation to another. This text takes an interdisciplinary social science approach to understanding culture, with an emphasis on psychology. Culture is viewed broadly, including nationality, ethnicity and race, economic class, gender, sexual orientation, and religion.
